This is a video of Monarch AH (Wiking x Sasanka) racing at Los Alamitos (night racing) on 1/18/92. He set a track record of 1 1/8 mile in 2 1/5 and we believe the record still stands today. Monarch AH was 5 years old at the time of this race. He was owned by Magness Arabians at that time but he has been sold to a Sheikh in Dubai back in 2001.
